Location. The Kwena Chalets are located in the Sun City Resort in the North West Province, South Africa, five kilometres from Pilanesberg National Park and Predator World and 40 kilometres from the city of Rustenberg.
Hotel Features. Built in the style of a traditional African village, the Kwena Chalets comprise 14 thatched chalets surrounded by gardens and overlooked by hills. The residence affords access to all the facilities that the Sun City Resort has to offer, including a crocodile sanctuary, a full service health spa and a hair salon. Internet access and parking are complimentary. Babysitting services can be arranged on request.
Open daily for breakfast and lunch, the Kwena Chalets' coffee shop is situated in the crocodile sanctuary. Dishes served include burgers, toasted sandwiches, crunchy salads and crocodile dishes. The Sun City Resort offers a choice of other restaurants and bars. A complimentary small buffet and English breakfast is offered every morning at the Kwena Chalets.
The Sun City resort offers a casino, safaris, parasailing, tennis, boating and a golf course. A kids' club, playground and splash pool are provided for younger guests.
Guestrooms. The 14 chalets open onto private terraces and are decorated in warm, African colours. Walls are hung with contemporary African art, complemented by woven furniture and traditional blinds. Sprung mattresses are dressed with white linen, and bathrooms have either showers or Victorian style slipper baths. Toiletries are complimentary. Other amenities include satellite television, complimentary Internet access, direct dial phones, refrigerators and tea and coffee making facilities.
Expert Tip. The crater of a long extinct volcano forms the setting for the Pilanesberg National Park, one of the largest in the world. Evidence of the early presence of man can be seen in the numerous Stone and Iron Age sites scattered throughout the park.

From Johannesburg International Airport (JNB):
Distance to the Kwena Chalets is 195 kilometres, approximately 150 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The best way to get to the chalets is by private transfer, which should be booked in advance via the hotel. Taxis are available at the airport, but use ACSA accredited services only.
Getting around. The best way to explore the area around Sun City is by car. The region's major towns are served by buses.
Driving directions. From the airport, get into the left hand lane and follow the R21 towards Pretoria.
After 37 kilometres, take N1 East (Exit 134) towards Pietersburg.
Continue along the N1 for 22 kilometres and then take the N4 towards Rustenburg (Exit 156).
Pass through two toll booths on the N4.
Continue for another 28 kilometres and then take the R556 ramp (Exit 225) to Sun City.
Continue along the R556 for 77 kilometres until reaching the Sun City main gate.
The Kwena Chalets are located immediately after the gate on the right hand side.
